bow in stone of balance
in stone of balance when i get my bow, it always disappears after i check that it is there in my inventory once. what's up with that?

i'm not quite sure what you mean by story, but i'm in the maze of versata and daedelus. does that help at all?

Okay you're in Story 2 - I don't know why the bow disappears after checking your inventory. This is the first I've heard of this happening. So does it appear once in the inventory and then not again, after you select it or something else?

well, i restarted from an earlier save where i also had just purchased the bow, and it seems to be staying with me this time. thanks for your help though! :-)
oh yeah, any clue how to get onto the mud in the big maze? i've only been informed that it IS possible, and i just keep getting killed trying to do it...used everything in my inventory in attempts. i just can't figure it out...

There are 2 non-cheating ways to do that.
1. get translocation magic and red rocks. If you did not have water magic from the first story, then this option is gone.
2. There at least 1 or 2 places where you can go from grass land to mud (and vice versa).
One thing I don't understand is why you would get killed by trying to get to mud!? Are you in the place where a lot of "sticks" firing fieballs? (And Dink was killed by the fireballs, right?)

yes, there were a lot of the crazy firing sticks killing me all the time. also, i found all the red rocks and stuff, but i don't remember ever going to this wizard's island, though Dink does seem to remember it. so i have no clue what island he's talking about, but i haven't discovered any lately. anyway, thanks for the help! :-)

Dink talks about visiting the island, yet you haven't - opps there's another glitch. Do you have translocation magic? Did you have water magic before you came to this story - ie Did you get it from the wizard on an island in the first part... after getting the oars etc, etc.
Oh well, not that important. You should still be able to finish the DMOD, and you can get translocation magic in Story 4 "The Land of Reverence"
