Installing patches

When playing a dmod that gets a patch released, how do you add it to your frontend? I mean, how do you "blend" them ? Also, if you wanted to use an ultimate cheat, how would you do this? If you can tell me I will be thankful, but please explain in simple terms. Thanks

It depends on the patch, if there's any kind of readme or help file, go by that. But generally just unzip the patch to the same folder as the man d-mod so that the new files replace the old ones. I know that's how it works in Fiat for example.
