Dude, those green plants look a little familiar, does Dink smoke in your d-mod?  :)

Also, the grass tiles look a little "boxy" other than that, it looks really cool.  Look forward to playing it.

The technical word would be "puff" or "toke".

If you keep this up, I'm gonna droowl my keyboard all wet! ;) (ah, ik het klinkt niet in het engels, voor de liefhebers in het nederlands: Als je dit volhoudt, ga ik het hele toetsenbord nat kwijlen! ;))

:D:):D

Nice as always. I like people trying to overhaul the entire graphics pack. Let's hope you get it finished ;)

Re: Yet another fluffy screenshot from my dmod, the plains..

Hey, just a question... Have you applied the Dink pallette to these screenshots? They almost look too good to be true, considering Dink. ;)

Especially green shades look horrible in Dink.

Im having my own palette :) (btw, that picture is 256 colors, but can be downed to 64 colors or even 32 without any visual scars)

one more thing: Dink uses too many colors, that is why it didn't look good on a 256 palette, Im lowering the usage of different colors, and try to reuse the old one I already have used.. it will look so much smoother..

I'm not sure I understnad. How does using fewer colors make it look smoother? Or do you mean you're using less "fake" colors, ie. not using error defusion, just sticking to the palette.
Re: Yet another fluffy screenshot from my dmod, the plains..
I mean, if you make a picture that uses about 5000 colors, and then need to scale it down to 256 colors it will look ugly, but if you make that picture with lesser colors, and scale it down to 256 it will look better.. My palette now mostly consists of greenish and brownish colors.. so terrain will look nice..

I once had a good idea how to make the perfect palette. You make all the images, then make one huge image, put all your images into that image, and makes FE Photoshop generate a palette with that info. That will result in a palette that would suit all your images best possible. Then finally apply that palette to each individual image, and voil. ;)
Re: Yet another fluffy screenshot from my dmod, the plains..
That's about exactly what I do now :), Im making about 70% of the game graphics now, and then I make the palette from them, So I know which colors will be used the most etc..
