: I download dink about a year or two ago. I don't know how long ago, but it was a while. I recently found it again and this small community of mods. Great, I always loved Dink. There's a lot of mods though, so to a newbie, which mods are the best, or should I download first? Also, do the mods like change the game, or do they start after the game finishes, or is there a menue you select the mod you wanna use from? I've never modded a game before, so I don't know how this works, and its not done downloading, so I thought I'd ask now. Any help would be great. Also, does whoever wrote the dink engine ever have plans to make a sequal?
Prophecy of the Ancients, the first really big d-mod and the more recent Stone of Balance are another couple good ones. DMods are stories unto themselves, you can only load one at a time. They don't actually change the orginal files or anything though, you just tell the game to look in a different folder for gamedata. Like ehasl said, the simplest way to do that is to use the front end that came with the game.

I recommend downloading (Dinky Dimensions 1) FIAT and (DD 2) EOT, and Friends beyond series. instead of asking about help for them on the board, you should use the walkthroughs :). There are very many possibilities for making dmods, so many of them does not include Dink at all. To play your dmods: open dinkfrontend.exe which is located in your main dink folder (remember to select "run with this dmod"). Seth A. Robinson made the dink engine. in the interview with him at the dink network he says that he maybe will make an engine with 3d graphics, but this one shall not be named anything with "dink".
