EOT help needed

I am in the cave where there are a lot of small pillbugs; I've read the parchments that I've found, but I don't know what I'm going to do. Have I simply to come back to the village or do I come back to the village? Please!

Remember the code on one of the pieces of paper. Then procede through the maze... there is an end, and you need the code there.

The main problem is that the small pillbugs hurt a lot!

Try to hit them before they touch you. And buy lots of healing potions from Windemere, if you feel like walking all the way back there.

Thanks for the help. One more question (trying not to spoil any hints to other people still playing): just after I found the portal where I have to insert the code, the game ends (tragically)... is that the actual end or have I done anything wrong?
