What's next?

Hey everyone

Thanx all who have showed me how to improve my Secret of Parizaya!

now I know how to make a better game, i've got another question;

I'm busy with 2 dmods right now, wich one should I finish first?

Legend of TerraEarth (with turn-based fighting) or Secret of Parizaya 2?

This is pretty minor, but traditionally d-mods are zipped without the d-mod's name included as a folder. (eg sound\monster.wav not secret\sound\monster.wav) I don't know why that's the standard, but it is, so that's why you had people getting black screens, they didn't notice how you zipped it and treated it like other d-mods.

Also, even more minor, I just noticed you copied ALL the the files from the original dink into your d-mod, you only need to copy the ones you want to change, the game knows to look for the rest in the usual place.

Lastly, make sure you read my last reply yo your other thread, it may have been pushed to the next page of the forum by now.

It doesn't matter as long as you resolve all the problems and mistakes you made in Secret of Parizaya 1. If I were you, finish Secret of Parizaya 2 first, because turnbased fighting might be a bit too difficult if you haven't got the experience yet. I'm not saying you can't do it but you may want to consider trying things out and improving upon the normal things such as the map and spelling first in SOP2.

For the turnbased dmod, if you did not have see other's mod yet, you could download some from Dink Network. I only knew one turnbased dmod though -- "Red Shield" (unfinished).

Better not look at Red Shield too much or you won't have any globals left for the story :)
