to run a DMOD, run 'DinkFrontEnd.exe' click 'Run with the following DMod' and choose an DMod to run.
to download & install a DMod, just click the link at the end of this mssg and download it, to install it, open the file you've downloaded, unzip it to your dink dir (such as C:\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\) and run it!
the only 'Transfer DMod' is The Catacombs at this time. 'transfer' your existing SaveGame (with weapons, magic, hp, attack/defense/magic-level etc.) to that DMod with the 'transfer DMod' (the normal game, that 'transfers' your existing game to The Catacombs when you've reached the end) hmm... i think that were 2 the same things:)

go to the dink network homepage, and on the left hand corner you will see where you can download dmods. lots of dmods. you transfer the dmods into the dink folder in program files by placing an empty folder in dink called(whatever the name of the dmod is) and extract the dmod files into the new folder. then click start, program files, dink smallwood, dink front end. choose the name of the dmod and the game will play.

OK...can I transfer my original DINK character...if so...step by tep how?!?!?!
It would take a nice bit of programming on your part to transfer a character. It would involve editting what is known as the "start.c" file. No one ever, ever does this, because it is considered cheating and you might screw up the dmods plot. For instance, what if there is some area which you are supposed to need a bow to enter. A person who gave themselves a bow at the start could skip the entire bow quest. The result could really screw things up.
Also, all mods are designed so that you start off at whatever strength, etc. the designer wants you to start with. In short, don't transfer your character. No one else does it because it would ruin the gameplay of the mod.
