About the pass in Parizaua

I went into the guys house in the pyrimard and he complained about burning down his trees, then he gave me a pass and said to go use it, but when I go back to the castle the guard is still asking for a pass.  Now what? I did it twice and both times the same thing. So how do i get into the castle?  Can't go any farther in the game now, so anyone please help?  Thanks

Oh oh... I think I know what's wrong:

I think you got the pass, but AFTER you got the pass, you saved the man from that goblin 2 screens down, right? well, if you that, the story is set on saving the man, and NOT on the pass anymore, so you have to save the man FIRST and then you have to beat up the dragon, get tge seed and eventually the pass. If you've got the pass, then you mustn't do anything else, but just go to the castle, okay?

sorry that I made such a stupid story system, but I didn't knew how to change it:(

FIRST FINISH A TASK AND THAN BEGIN ANOTHER ONE!
