Why doesn't this site get chat?
Why doesn't this site get a chat room? Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

Because I rarely chat. Over the past 5 years I've been on the internet, I've participated in about 3 or so chats. In comparison, I've posted 100's of messages in various message boards. As such, this site reflects what my desires are... but, if other people want a chat room as well, then I could see myself setting one up.
But what kind of chat? Java, perl, IRC (of which there was one but it died), or what?

Go for it. Never chated in chat rooms but I think I talk about dink and maybe get anwser faster. dont know the differents between Java, perl,ect.:p

I've set up a Chat at Dink Translation, it's

I used Ralf's Chat - the link is http://www.ralfchat.de/
It's quite interesting, it uses Perl, have a log option and moderating features (/kick & /ban =))
Maybe someone is interested by this piece of informations;

I reckon it'd be pretty good if you set up a chat service on this site and set a regular meeting time maybe. Posssibly you could put a link on this site to the one somebody posted above (if they didn't mind!!!). I suppose it would be quite empty most of the time but you could set a meeting time, say once a week, whenever it's convenient for people. I dunno really, just an idea... ;)

This could be a good idea. Anyway, as I said before, I won't be around *at all* within some months, and this begins tomorrow.
If someone thinks he can make some meetings on a regular basis, then he should post here.
Maybe it'll be in my chat, maybe in another one, set up by RedInk1 or anybody else.
Now, the poll is: what is the best time for a meeting? - as we're on Internet, there's the different local times problem, in addition.
We could also imagine several (weekly) meetings, one for the US people, another for the western europe people, etc :)

Fine! It would be cool, though i can't speak America with other people very good. (I speak America no good anyway, oh well.)
But.. You know Mika Hkkinen? A Finnish formula 1 driver? I think American's don't watch it very
much, but well.. Just wanna say, that... You heard him talking? It sounds awful i think. "Mai neim is Mika hkkinen And aim a formula draiver.", like a goblin. :) so i speak (at least a little) better America than he, whatever but this is an example how bad do Finnish people speak english. I don't know a one Finlander that speak's good english. (Now aren't i giving a wonderful credit to my country?)
However Mika Hkkinen is a good driver, he will still win the champion ship some day again.
