The tree is just an escape. In Rife the minion is kind of timed so go up north west and kill everything in garden, then try and leave and don't fight him.

The minon is not apppearing in rife.First my magic and all were too high so i lowered them and killed all the animals there.

Walk around and go in the houses. He will show up. I tried myself to leave the island a few times with nothing happening. It is a timed thing for when he shows up. Kill Kill Kill and then try and leave.
