MIDI Tutorial
In light of the recent rash of MIDI packs being released, I am considering writing a tutorial which would hopefully help those interested in composing their own ORIGINAL MIDI files.  Before I spend a bunch of time doing this, I'm wondering if anyone would actually be interested?

Topics I've considered addressing include...

1. What MIDI is and what it is not

2. Patches (and a GM patch map)

3. Channels

4. Base Key velocity (and other dynamics)

5. Percussion Map

6. Tempo

7. The best pay and free music notation software

any other ideas?

I think that's a :o great :O idea.  I've played electronic keyboard and piano for about 10 years and I still have NO IDEA how to compose midis.  As for ideas for a tutorial, you may want to include something about PC-keyboard linking or editing existing midis.
