Fiat - No tones in Odvi

I've had soundcard problems for a while now so I've been "deaf" playing Fiat until today, so I didn't try until now to do the dance to get the pendant. But, no tones! The Odvi music plays, but that's it. If I can hear the music, shouldn't I be able to hear the tones? Help would be greatly appreciated.

If you wait for the game sounds to finish, you will be able to play.

Thanks Jeff, I waited until the music faded out then tried again a couple of times, but still no tones. I've turned my speakers up all the way but can hear nothing. What can be wrong? As a test, are there any other sounds I should be able to hear beside the music? I hate to have come this far in the game to be stuck here! Please help!

So you don't hear any sounds besides the midi? Odd. Outside of Dink, in Windows next to the clock there should be a speaker icon. Make sure that all the meters are as high as they can go.

Thank you Redink1 & Jeff, things are fixed now. I didn't have the speaker icon, but now I do, and I've actually got the pendant. I feel like a fool bothering you guys. Thank you again for your help.
