I dunno if your on the right track, but thats not the way I schmacked him.
Equip ya sword, and run around him hiting him with it... If he uses the air attackon you(Blows you across the screen) stop hitting him with ya sword,and just run against it,until its finished blowing against you, then just whack him somemore... I didnt need the herb boots to defeat him
