ok, I'm at the part in the very beginning where I need a bomb to blow up the rock so I can get to this one guy so he can make a fence. I don't know where to get the lead to make into gold to buy a bomb...I feel really stupid getting stuck in the very beginning, any help is appreciated. Thanx.

if you go to a big, dark grey stone of about half the size of the screen and talk to it you will get lead. there are many of those stones and they are in the original dink smallwood too.
