Fiat:Dragnu:Rock Dropper Help

I've tried everything to defeat this mysterious creature and nothing works. I've read all the posted messages concerning this problem. I understand you are susposed to hit the rocks. Well Hip Hip Hooray. No matter where I stand when he yells "ROCK DROP" the rocks always fall to the opposite side and I can never get to them before they hit. When they hit the ground hitting them with anything doesn't work. This is my last resort at getting help. If this doesn't work then Fiat goes to the Recycle Bin. Thanks to anyone who can help though. It will be greatly appreciated.

After they drop, hit them with the Fist o' Might, and try to make them hit the knight.
