ok, i downloaded what it SAID was Patch I from dink network main page. i'm a bit confused on how patches work, so forgive me, but when i clicked to play fiat v0.99i, it just went through the intro with the ducks and then shut down. like, there wasn't even a listing of the program on my taskbar. am i doing something wrong? (i know i prolly am) :)

Oh, it looks like you installed the patch into its own directory, so it probably has two entries for FIAT in the frontend (both v0.99 and v0.99i). You have to extract the contents of the patch into the same directory you extracted FIAT into, not into its own directory.

Or, just move everything from c:\program files\dink smallwood\fiat_099i\ into c:\program files\dink smallwood\fiat_099\ , and delete the fiat_099i folder.

ok, you are being more than helpful and i really really appreciate it. however, my thick skull sometimes makes things difficult for me. ;) right now i have a fiat0.99i folder inside of my regular fiat folder. however, the game still won't run. so should i move the contents of the patch folder out of that folder and into the regular fiat folder? i hesitate to do this b/c it will replace all the duplicate names, and you said to save the folder stuff. i am so sorry that i'm having such a time with this...i just really want to keep playing the game. :) thanks!
