: ok, by skimming through earlier postings, i realize that no one else seems to be having a difficult time in this area, but i can't seem to find a key to get off the first island once i'm in the catacombs under the church. i'm killing the pillbugs like crazy and i got the map, but when i get to that stairway it just takes me back to the stairway at the beginning of the tunnel. someone please help!
The stairway should take you down another level. Explore around, and you'll find a fire giant that has the key.

there is a place that looks like there a hall but you cant down.
