Bryce 4 (which is one up from Bryce 3d) will probably not help you much in creating graphics. Terrain generation is good (but worthless in a D-Mod unless you're planning on creating static cutscenes).
It does include some rocks/trees you can render, but they're basically the same thing from the original game.
Aside from that, it does include some simplified primitive creation tools (that support negative/positive designations, for some cool effects when grouped), though pretty much any other program should be better.
Also, animation sucks (or maybe I'm just not understanding it). Sure, it is possible to move objects around in a timeline (as well as the camera), I can't see anything in the animation that could be useful for sprites generated for Dink.
If you want to make some different angles of rocks and trees, it might be worth downloa... err, buying it, but otherwise it probably won't fit your needs.
But there might be some better models to get from around the web, and because Bryce is used primarily for landscapes and such, there are probably a lot of cool models that could be used for objects in the landscape (rocks, trees, grass, maybe even buildings).
Note: this comes from a relatively inexperienced 3d-editor-guy. I've had experience with a REALLY old DOS based version of 3dsmax (which I made a pretty nifty snowman blowing up movie), 3dsmaxR3 (which continues to confuse, but did manage to create the R2-D2 from Ed the SCV with), Bryce 4 (which I made some graphics for FIAT with), Poser 4 (which rocks for characters, I have to download some more models tho). Note, Bryce and Poser both have crappy interfaces, and it takes a bit to adjust to them. I downloaded and opened Blender (SimonK's 3d editor of choice), but I couldn't make anything of it.
