Secret or Not??

I read somewhere in all of these great messages that if you throw your ax at the pole in the water on the first island that it will open up a dungean to get ax lore I believe. I have been throwing the hell out of my ax and nothing! Any trick to this or what?(=

Make sure it is a regular axe.

It works for both a regular axe and a regular bow, with different results...

Where do you get a regular Ax? I only have the special one.

I already have that one - I continued to try everything and still will not open. I guess I might of messed up somewhere along the line. I'll go back to earlier game and see what happens. Thanks(=
