FIAT -- Medlid

Blame sleep deprivation, but I can't progress on Medlid.  I found the hermit's cave and I found the rock I need to blow up.  Bombs, however, cost 20 gold and I only have 15g.  How am I supposed to earn money for the bomb?  Any baddies I kill leave just small hearts, never gold.

lead is the answer, there are several clues about lead and where to find it, there is a wizard that will turn it into gold.
