So, I'm sure I missed some important stuff. =( Can anyone help me? I know he talked about other islands, so.. I'm kinda screwed, unless I can find out what he said.

Not the best dialogue in the world, but here is their conversation:
Phonix's Assitant: Hello there. I have been expecting you.
Dink: Uh... I did crash through your roof, right?PA: As a matter of fact, you did.
PA: I am Phoenix's assistant. I will train you in the art of Elemental Magic.
D: But magic doesn't work around here any more.
PA: Phoenix predicted that magic would probably not work when FIAT awoke.
PA: However, he also believes that Elemental Magic will work.
PA: He believes that only normal magic will fail to work.
D: Where the hell is Phoenix anyway?
PA: The last I knew, he was on an exploration. He cannot return now, of course.
D: I think I understand about Elemental Magic and stuff, but one thing I don't.
D: Why wouldn't Acid Rain magic work back on the main Magik Isle?
PA: Acid Rain, as well as Fireball, Hellfire, and a few others, are not pure Elemental Magics.
PA: They use the rest of the elements as well, just in lower quantities.
PA: You did pick up an Elemental Air Globe from the Air Knight, correct?
D: Yes I did.
PA: Good. FIAT has entrusted some of his power in the elements to special knights.
PA: That way he doesn't have to personally command every monster.
PA: You need to get the rest of these Elemental Globes.
PA: Then you will be able to command all of the elements.
D: What can I do with Elemental Magic anyway?
PA: I will be able to teach you Elemental Ball, and with enough gold be able to Elementalize weapons.
D: Gold?! Here, it seems the world will be taken over by FIAT, and you want gold?
PA: Gold is required in the creation of these Elemental Weapons.
PA: Because of Gold's pureness, it acts like a conductor when fusing Elements and Weapons.
D: Ah. So you can teach me Elemental Ball right away?
PA: Yes, Air Ball anyway.
PA: Just use the Air Globe like regular magic if you want to use the Air Ball.
PA: Talk to me later if you want Elementalize weapons.
PA: Oh, a couple more things.
PA: Elemental Magic has a mind of its own.
PA: Hence, you cannot gain experience from killing enemies with it.
PA: So it is best to use magic to weaken, then use weapons to kill.
PA: Also, I built a bridge to Drognu while you were in the Air Dungeon.
PA: It lies on the South West of this island.
PA: I built a bridge connecting Medlid and Rai in the North as well.
As for making the screen smaller, most likely not. Try adjusting it manually on the monitor (there are usually buttons and such that allow you to increase the overall size of the image, cutting out the edges).
