On the air island (is that rife?) i hear i need hyper boots to beat the air knight. Ive already tried once without the boots and got my a$$ kicked bad! So i reeaaly need some help

Air island is Rai.

Without restarting, I don't think there is a way to get the hyperboots any longer. I assume you either did not patch it (I think Patch B fixed that bug) or you cheated past the area you were supposed to get the boots at.

There might be a *slim* chance to get the boots; go out of the air dungeon and 'experience' the wind on the lower half of Rai. Then talk to the man in the log cabin on Rai, and you might be able to get the boots.

er...ok, so i go to the wind, and i did..but there is no guy in the log cabin..and my map is gone and i cant buttstomp and there are a lot of things gone wrong with my version of FIAT right now that i can't explain...for instance, why i cant save in the medlid house that has a save thingy in it or why i cant get the hyper boots or why, everytime i unequip it, my sword dissapears!?! these may be bugs, these may not, but i have dink 1.07 beta 3, no cheats on, fiat 0.99g, and i do not know what would be wrong, so someone, please, someone out there let me know im not alone with at LEAST one of these problems! there is nothing wrong with my dink or FIAT, im 99.99999999999999 percent sure of it! so, redink, if this is supposed to happen, please tell me, if it isnt, then (unfortunate for me :P ) i am just going to trash FIAT and, probably, stop playing Dink altogether! im not mad at anyone, but this reeaally sucks. so PLEASE, if there is something that will help me keep playing FIAT without restarting, or any d-mod at all, TELL ME! TELL ME!! So, im sorry if anybody thinks this is a grudge with RTsoft, it's not. I think Dink is a great game and some im eople (such as redink ;) ) make great dmods for it, but im sorry, im just REEAALLY ANNOYED AT WHY I CANT PLAY FIAT! I WANT TO PLAY IT AND HAVE FUN, NOT BE ANNOYED! Oh geez...if you actually read this whole thing, thank you for letting me vent...:pant: :pant: anyways...so, redink, or anyone out there, if you have something that will help me, i praise the lord to you, and please post it! This message was way longer than i expected it to be, so sorry for anyone who is now annoyed at me, but i cant really help it if i get a..lot...annoyed sometimes...

Well, I certainly don't know why yours is buggy, but I did try cheats on mine the first time playing. Boy, did that ever smart. ;) It crashes the game, apparently and freezes up the PC. Erk. So, no more cheats for FIAT. Gotta play it straight. That's fine by me. :) But, I have to admit, I feel lame having to ask for help all the time. :p Believe me, I know your pain and frustration. I think everyone feels that way, at some point, during games. :)

well, one thing...you dont have to be ashamed about asking for help, i admit, im still on rai,and my save game says iver been playing for 5 hours and 32 minutes total! it IS a hard game. but believe me, i just cant STAND my game anymore, its going crazier by the second, and with a 56k, i really dont feel like downloading two HUGE files- dinksmallwood106.exe is 23.3 megs, took me two hours to d/l, and fiat099.zip is 17.2 megs, taking 1 hour and 25 mins to d/l! thats 40 and a half megs! if you have a cable, you probably say 'so what?' to me thats, litterally GIGANTIC! so, if i cant find a fix in the next dink engine upgrade/fiat upgrade then im gonna stop being a dinker, lik i said in my previous post....
