fire knight  and found axe lore

OK, I got the axe and found axe lore (on 1st island MIDEA, there's a small pond with a post in the middle. Throw your axe at it and a machine will appear, this turns into a dungeon where axe lore is located), Where is the way to north Rife? I found what might have been a tunnel but it was blocked with rocks, and a bomb didn't touch it. Have I got the right spot?

It seems your axe might be good at chopping down a certain tree on Rife (by swinging it, not throwing it).
