Within two weeks, I will put out my "fighting mod demo" demo
It will be the first near-total conversion D-mod which uses a system this much worse than the original.  I might as well do it text based.

Dink is a stick figure.  His enemies are stick figures.  On the map he moves one "square" at a time.  Every time he moves, he gets into a fight.  Every fight from the map features the same enemies.  Dink cannot move in a fight.  He can either block high, block low, puch high, or punch low.  His enemies use the same moves(there is a slight randomization factor).  Once Dink defeats his opponent, he goes ack to the map.  He can go to towns.  The "towns" just send him to a new screen, from where the entire game is menu/text based until he leaves the town.  Any thoughts?

P.S.

Yes the title of this thread is supposed to read "fighting mod demo" demo.  Figure it out, eh?

Demo demo? Meaning I's just a sample of a better demo you intend to make I suppose.

Doesn's sound like a super quality mod to me, BUT, it sounds like a lot of simple-minded fun none the less. I'm looking forward to it! :0

Right, I'm developing the engine for a bigger + better project.

Bigger + better than what?

Bigger than the demo demo.

Christian: The difference between the system you originally had planned for terra earth and the system I am planning is that mine focuses more on the martial arts, whereas yours was more about turn based combat with ultra cool magix and attacks.

The reaon that I'm using stick figures is because a lot of the puches, kicks, blocks, etc couldn't be done merely by replacement.
