Help in Drognu

I am in the house where you go down and someone says Sir: Help there is an evil man after me only I can't see anything and then the game freezes. Can anyone help me get thru this? Also where are the boots everyone is talking about?

I have all the patches which I unzipped like this

C:\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\fiat_099.zip\story

Now do I unzip them or install them?

Also where do you find the boots?

I'm not a techie, but here's what I do and it works. Unzip the patch, than place the stand alone files (those not in another folder within that folder) in the fiat directory. Than, open the story folder in the patch and drag and drop all those files into the fiat story directory. You will prompted if you want to replace the existing files, respond yes to all. Okay I did EXACTLY like you said and now when I go to the room it is empty and the game does not freeze. Is that right? Also How do you kill the monsters around there? Thanks

If you already defeated the knight on that island, than that is right. You see, the intention was that you had to save the girl before being able to progress to the knight. And further-more, you had to buy a bow (to kill those pesky dragons) before you could save the girl.

At any rate, I could go backwards throughout the game:) , but the patch was to fix the problem (and others) that you mentioned. If you evetually re-play the game from the start, you won't be able to fight that knight until the girl is saved. But for now, forget about the girl, as far as the game knows, you have already saved her. Good luck...

The boots are another item you were supposed to have before progressing (in this case to the windy path and the air knight). Patches releases by redink1 fixed the bug of being able to skip that part and of being able to squeeze through a gap in a tree and water in the south of Rai. Anyways, I'm not sure the boots will be available to you because of your progression. The boots were to be purchased by a guy in a house in west Rai. You may or may not be still able to get them.
