FIAT Last Dungeon

Almost everytime I change weapons or walk to a new screen in this dungeon I get booted to my desktop. No chance to walk out and save because when I do Desktop. I waited to the last patch was fixed but same thing. It happened a few times during the game but not this often. If anyone knows the exact route to take here and could e-mail me I would appreciate it. I have gone to long in this game not to see the final boss.

Save often. I had this problem, and stopped changing weapons, used fire axe and fire magic mostly. Use the stone heads to gain access to each of the ressurected elemental knights, kill them all first then use the head combination to go to the maze. Go left around the outside until you get to the bottom and then turn west and make your way to the arches that take you to FIAT. If you have missed on of the knights there will be a stone head blocking the way. But be prepared for crashes when battling FIAT. It happend to me. - Oh and for a laugh hit the save machine in the entrance to the final land. ;)

I have not even been able to make it to a stone head yet. I have cleared a screen of bad guys and saved, etc etc but then after clearing 4 screens on my way out I crash to the desktop. Very frustrating. The only thing I have changed on my pc since the last dmod done was a sound blaster digital card. Would this matter?

I have just made it to a screen with what looks like a archway with a stone head in front of it. I am in the dungeon as far as I know?

Have you defeated the elemental bosses yet?

The stone head there disappears after you beat them. The other stone heads are onee screen north of the castle entry. You need to manipulate them to face the elemental bosses.

I have defeated all the bosses I can. Air, Earth, Wind and Fire. I might have the names wrong but I have defeated 4 minions. If I have missed one please let me know because this is becoming very frustrating.

Yes Jeff, when you initially enter that castle, you must go 1 screen north. Manipulate the stones, and enter that arch after each stone head you move. This allows you to again beat every boss again. When you have successfully defeated them all again, the last manipulation of stone heads will allow access to the arch in the dungeon you speak of (the stone head will be gone). Good luck...

Okay from what I gather here is p-ss around with the stone heads at the beginning. Go into the dungeon until I see a stone head and defeat the boss again. When I have defeated the four elementals I will be able to see FIAT. Seems simple enough but I can't get past 4 screens now before I get kicked to my desktop. Simonk says save alot but that does not work because on my way to saving I get booted to my desktop. Does this problem stem from the new sound card? This is the first dmod I have played with this card and previous dmods did not do this. Am I grasping here or what. Very frustrated????????

Your still not doing it right

I believe that there are only one or two combinations with those head stones that will lead to the dungeon. The other combinations will lead directly to one of the knights. Keep moving the stones around each time till you have beaten all 5. Then and only than set the stones up to go to the dungeon. If after moving the stone heads around, and you enter and either see an empty island or the dungeon, leave and move the head stones again. I think the problem is that you are looking for the knights in the dungeon, and getting your butt kicked in the process. Why you crash? Don't know. But remember, with the right combinations on those head stones, you will go through directly to a boss. Now, again, after beating them all, the arch you refered to in the the dungeon will be open to pass through (that head stone will disapear, you can't do anything to that one.) The only ones movable are inside and north of the castle entrance. Phew, Im winded. Hope this helps. Redink1 could probably explain this much better...

I agree with MiloBones. Make a drawing of all the positions of the stones that you have played so far. You may discover that there is one more combination that you have not yet tried. After you have beaten all of the other combinations, go back to the one you found when you originally entered the area, and the stone blocking your way should be gone.

Good luck, cause beating FIAT is no easy task once you get through the other bollocks. It is, however, a very fun challenge.
