can anyone help me? i am so stuck after i sent the guy with a message to the mage's guild. i've gone back through the rift and rested several times, but he won't show back up. what do i do?

He never comes back. Not in the demo at least. You've basically reached the end of the demo. Just go back and talk to Martridge. (Remember he sent to to bring back some info with the Scan spell)

i already went back and did the scan spell, but martridge is gone now...so this is the end?

No, it's a bug. Matridge isn't supposed to vanish.

If you want to see the real end, go back to your last save before you went thought the rift, go though again, cast scan, come back, talk to Martridge and without leaving the screen reverse cast Scan and give the crystal to Martridge.

In the full version this bug will be (is) fixed.

The Dink Network is as likely as anywhere... However it's not made yet so you may have a hard time finding it anywhere. :)
