FIAT Herb boot man?

I've got to ask cause I can't find him. I've experienced the wind, but can't find anyone that talks about herb boots. There is a man in the house to the west, but all he said was Hello.

By the way, I've already fought the air knight after slipping past the faulty hardness problem, but didn't beat him.

And, I haven't installed either of the patches yet. Will the patch still work?

If you beat the air knight before getting the hyper boots, then you can't get them now. The only way to get them would be to start over. It's also recommended that you install patch 0.99b, as it prevents you from making this mistake.

Mistake? I thought it made the game easier. With a lot of patience and a little skill with the sword, the air knight can be beaten.

I installed patch 0.99b and started a previously saved game (thankfully, I had saved not too long ago), and I'm back on track with the herb boots (I love those little buggers):o
