There is nothing upstairs, and you can't go up there.  The third stick is hidden near a wall in the same room as the fireplace.  Just walk along the walls till you get it.  Good luck...

: i go in the house down the hole get beans and 2 sticks but when i go up the stairs i am not beening showed and return down stairs know matter what button i hit. the fire place says i need more sticks. cant search up the stair
