Where is the guy that asks you for water spikes? I pushed aside a bed and below it was just an empty room with some rocks and a fireplace - no spikes/axe guy.

Don't give up hope. You have to meet and face Fiat's minion on Rife and go through the following sequences before the guy in the basement shows up.

Then you, to put it in the vernacular, are f---ed. my advice is to play thru from an earlier save, maybe you need Redink's patch

Read what Denmark said, that's probably the explanation. I assumed that you wouldn't be asking unless you had already played Minion.
