FIAT Secrets and Bugs

Secrets: There are 14 Special Secrets. These can only be found once (even if you restart the entire game). Some of them you can use before you beat the game (such as Green Blood in the Escape Menu, I think) but most can only be used after you've beat the game.

There are also 7 very rare items that you may find around the islands.

3 Ultimate Weapons are also present in FIAT. Pheonix's Assistant will tell you how to make these once you get near the end.

Also, do not worry about trying to find all the secrets before you beat the game (I think it is near impossible, or very unlikely). Unlike POTA or SOB, you can always go back to nearly every location once you reach the end. I found it extremely irritating in POTA and SOB that you had to restart the entire game to find all the secrets, so in FIAT you don't have to.

Bugs: It seems there are more bugs than I realized. First of all, apply the first patch if you haven't already. Then if you find a bug, please send me your save game (zipped, please) to redink1@telefragged.com and tell me where the bug is. Also, post a reply to this message telling everyone that you sent me a savegame with a specific bug, so I don't get 20 save games detailing the same bug.

In the northwest corner of the screen with the house where the mayor's daughter was trapped, I was able to start walking on water. It wasn't guided walking like with the secrets, it led me to all kinds of screens.

I can't wait to get to some of those screens the right way.

Actually, redink1, if you beat the air boss before you get the herb boots, it is impossible to get them. The guy who makes them won't talk to you anymore.

BTW, the air boss really is much easier with the hyper boots. Also, I found bow luck! :o
