Fiat!

I just started playing it a little while ago and already I'm stuck! I'm trying to get lead to change to gold so I can buy a sword for the pastor in the church. The problem is, whenever I try to change the lead into gold, the wizard says "You have too much gold, you don't mind if I take some right?", and he just takes the lead! What do I do?

How much gold do you have? He should only say that if you have over the amount of the sword.

Around 270 I think. A sword costs around 430 doesn't it?

Oh, I remember now. The sword does cost 450, but you have to make up the other 200 gold using an alternate method another person in town provides.
