Can't Slop The Hogs

I've just started the game and went to feed the pigs. I assumed that I needed to stand over feed to pick it up and then toss it at the pigs.

The problem is no matter what key I push(and I've tried them all)Dink won't pick up the feed.

What am I doing wrong?

OMG. Let me get this straight; you guys are still stuck at the VERY BEGINNING of Dink Smallwood? You can't figure out how to walk over an item or smash a barrel? You can't even figure out the controls?!

This is one of the easiest, simplest RPGs ever. I beat the whole damn game in one day. ONE DAY. It took me about 3 minutes to get out of the first area. At your rate you will be 50 by the time you reach the Darklands. God forbid.

Sheesh, can't figure out how to feed the pigs. Can't punch... Can't even find the inventory screen? LOL! Stupid idiotic moron? Have you discovered your ass yet?

I found the feed. I had assumed the barrel was simply decoration. Nearing the Darklands now. I will not respond to what everyone here will know are childish provocations.

As for your claim of finishing the first area in three minutes I must unequivocally say, HORSECRAP!!!

Do you seriously expect anyone to believe that?

Though I agree with you, maybe you should say it a little bit nicer... just an idea:)

Umm.. Have you actually moved over the pig feed? Or just talked to it from a short distance? You need to walk over the food to get it. Have you tried to crush the barrels in the village(Stonebrook)? Could you take the hearts?

And well.. If you don't know, by pressing enter you can get the inventory screen on.

If seth is reading this, add a easy instruction manual to the main game in the 1.07 patch.

I exaggerated a little about "hours"...

It was the thing about hitting control to select items that I didn't understand.

Ha, I went back to the game today and figured it out in a couple minutes. Guess I just needed a fresh start.

Here I was trying to pick up the seed at the pen when it was in the barrel at the house.

Now if I could just find that danged nut tree and magician's house. Ah well, to persevere...

Ya know, I'm not gonna give you hints unless you really need them now... half the fun of an RPG is figuring stuff out.
