You need to talk to the glowing well in the forest.. and you don't need to hide the items after all, i'm not sure is this fixed already but at least with me the priest didn't take the stones.

i already talked to the well once and gave it the key, and now when i try to talk to it it only says: thanks for the key.

Talk to Balder then go talk to the dolmen in the forest of wickedness. You can only make the child cry by taking away her mother.
