skull in sob

ok, i dug up this grave in the desert story and got a skull, but i can't find what to do with it...did i goof by accidentally having to kill the goblins instead of healing the cactus?  i forgot the fertilizer and they attacked me.

You give it (and two more) to the magic ring on the plateau, he then zaps you to the mountain of jewels.
