cannot load DMODS in XP - Message Board Archive

cannot load DMODS in XP

When I try to load a DMOD it brings up a popup that says "Dink Error: Couldn't chage to dir. Why?"

I've tried several methods of loading dmods, including the commandline, the frontend, and some third party frontends. Any help would be great!

Well, I solved my own problem 8) From the start menu I can run them like so:

"D:\games\Dink Smallwood\dink.exe" -game island

It would probably work the normal way if your Dink Directory was something like d:\games\dink\ (I think XP doesn't like the space). Everything seems to work fine when my Dink Smallwood is c:\dink\
