Request for Tips for Downloading Files

Hello everyone. As I rarely download files from 3ddownloads (everybody sends them to me directly, after all), I was hoping some of you have some tips on the best way to download files. I'll compile responses into a page to put on The Dink Network (and give credit where due). Some areas you might consider:

Which download resumers work/don't work?

Which servers (New York, Texas, Finland) seem to work the best?

Are there certain times that downloading files seems to work better or faster?

And so on. I'm sure you can think of tips that I can't even categorize.

If you get an error message, just try again right away. Sometimes I've had to try as many as 5 times.

While using a download resumer, like dap, if you wait more than 1 day between stoping & resuming downloading a file, it ussally won't work.

Also, don't try to download the whole lot at once, like me. Just download one at a time, and it will work a lot better.

Store your backups, and rename the files so that they are recognizable to you, then you don't have to download them again.
