From what little I have seen, the industry is so new that degrees/diplomas might not mean as much as work examples you have already done.
Getting a degree is the best starting point, then if a company sees you doing professional grade work, they may 'poach' you, offering you a wage based on what you have recently accomplished. Dink is not a bad place to get started, you just have to put yourself out there and be part of something. If c is your thing, mabey try working on a library of functions. You will be known for accomplishing something, and you will gain perfect knowledge of that lib. Just make sure your best work can be seen on the internet with your name on it. ( if applicable.)
