I didn't make any resolutions, but I did melt tin, as per Finnish tradition. It's a cat!

HAIL DA '09!! I raise a Bomb to TDN, one to ExDethevn and all Aussies/ NZers/ Tasmanians (ha!), and one to the new year. ExDeth's right-whilst krisnox was replying, I was KOed on the beach surrounded by empty cans. Say, how does everyone else celebrate the occassion?
hey skull, u r such a pessimist
Dunno if it is the same in other places but around here you are supposed to eat black eyed peas, boiled cabbage and something else. The peas represent luck, the cabbage, money. just curious
Happy New year everybody! I have just got a Banana Blaster in my pocket.
That's... odd. My family usually celebrates with all kinds of shellfish, like crab, lobster, oysters, and shrimp. I wasn't there this year, but I do miss the celebratory food.
Living on the coast, we get so much seafood throughout the year that it would be redundant to eat more; or maybe thats just me.
Well I spend most of new year's eve ice skating. The last time the ice was thick enough out here was something like seven years ago, so I had to try it out. (Sometimes I hate Dutch winters...)
The rest of the time I was stuffing up with oliebollen, a traditional Dutch newyear's dish. (It is a sort of fried raisinbread)

Surely Aussies aren't the only ones who spend most of New Year's Eve and day Completely piss-drunk?!
Yes, but when are they not?
Meta - that stuff looks rather tasty.

I was plenty drunk myself, and I have lots o' booze left to spare!
