I play Diablo 2, Lord Of Destruction, almost as much as I play Dink. Sometimes more, it depends. I was wondering how many other Dinkers have Diablo or Diablo 2.

Fine with me. I started playing it when I was about 8, and I used to watch my dad play it since I was 6 or 7. I usually don't worry about the rating.

I play Diablo 2: LOD on US East, nonladder (since ladder reset and switched my chars over.) What about you?

These are the only chars I have worth noticing.
ZebraCakes - lvl 84 traps Assassin
HurryKaine - lvl 83 tornado/hurricane Druid

I either play single player or with my dad.

The assassin, druid, necromancer, and sorceress are probably my favorite characters. I like the summoning abilities of the druid and necromancer, I like the traps of the assassin, and the sorceress has teleport, enchant something with fire, frozen orb, and a bunch of other stuff. I've got one of each character up to lvl 50 to 85. I could've had em all 85 but then my computer wiped itself out.
P.S.
I almost forgot to add this. When you fight the ancients on Mt. Arreat, be sure to look all around the edges of the mountain.
You can see whats down below.

Only on single player or with your dad? You're missing out on a lot (trading with other players can get you virtually any item in the game). Btw my druid can teleport and bo If you played closed bnet with me I could help out some

We just recently got a faster connection, and until then, any online game was ssslllooowww. I haven't checked battlenet or any of that out yet. I'll try it soon. Btw, some of the items i've found single player, or that I got off of a disc, can make someone invincible. What item do you have that allows you're druid to teleport?
P.S
What's bo?

The runeword Enigma gives any player +1 tele. Bo is battle orders (a barb skill). I get that from the runeword Call to Arms.
What items do you have that make you "invincible"? My chars are good even in hell difficulty.

I understand about the teleport and bo now. These are the items I have from least to greatest. I don't know who had them originally but my dad had a disc with characters on it that had super items. Here they are:

2 Rings-Adds 7 to all skills immune to cold and 1000 to defense
Light Plate- Adds 7 to all skill levels, a def of 7000-10,000
(it changes, and I don't know why) required lvl 15, Indestructible 75 to all skills, about 90 to all stats I think and 20 other different things. Oh, and six socketed.
Gold font skull shield-Lvl 58 Def 25,000 or something, 28 to all skill lvls, 95 to all resistances, indestructible, attacker takes damage of 50 or something and about 20 other things.
Crafted amulet-Lvl 69 400 to all stats, 7 to all skill lvls, slows projectiles, and 20 other things.

As you have probably noticed, I can't remember everything the items do. lol

All hacked items. You can't find that crap in the real game and you can't use it on closed bnet. They were made by some item editor program.

o_0 What about the crafted amulet? A real recipe or a hack?
I also have real items. Like Dusk Shroud, Djinn Slayer, Bonesnap,
Aldur's rythm. Those are good. Ever picked em up? Btw, ever look over Mt. Arreat? Awesome graphics there.

The amulet is definitely a hack. Dusk shrouds are just common armors. My Enigma is made from one and it has 1267 defense. I've had plenty of Bonesnaps and sold them all, I've had Aldur's complete set and Trang-Oul's complete set (it makes you a vampire). I don't think I've heard of Djimm Slayer, what kind of item is it?

My druid uses, jalals mask, Heart of the Oak (weapon), Call to Arms (secondary weapon), Spirit (shield), Enigma (armor), Trang-Ouls gloves, Razortail (belt), and Aldur's boots.
His amulet gives +2 element skills, 5 energy, 10 cold res, 28 light res, 10 fire res, and 10 poison res.
Ring 1 gives 10 faster cast rate, 76 attack rating, 54 mana, 27 fire res, magic damage reduced by 1, half freeze duration.
Ring 2 gives 10 faster cast rate, 3% life steal, 22 life, 19 mana, 15 fire res, and 1 mana after each kill.
He also has some charms that give life and resists aswell as a hellfire torch that gives +3 druid skills, +13 attributes, +14 all res, +8 light radius, and 10 charges of lvl 30 hydra.
His maxed skills are level 35 after using battle command (gets from call to arms)

Not just any dusk shroud, it's a set piece (green) of equipment, has like 900 defense I think. Djinn slayer is a sword ( I think the sword type is an atghhan or ahhtgan or however it is spelled)
that hits for 90 something to 255 i think, and is one socketed. It is very fast attack speed, adds to stats, and I think it has fire damge as well. One handed and I think it does more, but I'm not sure. It's a gold font item. (I forget what the gold ones are.) And I also found Inferno Track boots. They're normal boots you could find in act 1, but they have adefense of 120 something,
make you go super fast, %10 chance to cast the skill when the sorceress walks and fire follows her, I forget the name of the skill. I found a set item crown with a defense of 224 and adds stuff, I think I lost it. I was thinking about creating a character that was strictly merchant, that way characters could trade in the good equipment that they had, but didn't really want for good equipment that they wanted. Like a pawn shop.

I think the best 1 handed weapon is an ethereal Breath of the Dying (runeword) berserker axe. There are definitely better armors, but the boots are good. The only sucky thing about starting closed bnet would be having to start all over But you do have better chances of getting the items you need (especially high level runewords) by doing bnet. There are also bnet exclusive items (like the hellfire torch) that help to make you stronger. So you should definitely look into it.

I haven't got Breath of the Dying, but I've read some stuff on gamefaqs.com about bnet, and read about the three keys (which I found in single player, which I don't think they should in single player if ya can't use em anywhere but bnet) and Uber Baal and Diablo and Mephisto. Have you done the cow level?

I've done all the cow levels and seen uber duriel, uber izual, and lilith (the sad truth is i had to have someone else kill them for me ). The keys are not supposed to be in single player and they are hard to find (tedious) in bnet, but they are worth finding if you get 3 keysets to trade. I use the official bnet diablo website and d2tomb for looking up items and strategies.

My dad beat Nihlathack and found one of the keys, so he asked someone else who played Diablo what it was. He told me about and I figured it was a new part of the game, so I went after the countess, The summoner, and nihlathack several times to find them. One thing that really bugs me about Diablo though, you can't hire an angel from Tyreal to help you beat up monsters. That would be cool.
P.S.
The first time I played Diablo to the end, I went in to Duriels chamber, and since no one in the town mentions him, I figured that I could just go in and get to act 3, but when I enter,
Duriel is coming right at me. The townspeople should say something about a giant bug.

The Uber bosses are only found in battlenet, and are the super version of Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto. The characters I have are a lvl 70 necromancer, a lvl 33 sorceress, a lvl 31 druid, and I'm building others up. Btw, if you find all three of the keys (There's a chance that the countess, the summoner, and Nihlathack will drop one) you combine them in the horadric cube like you would anything, I don't think you need anything else, and you mix them for a portal, like the cow lvl. The portal leads to Tristram, where it all began.

I think it's only in the expansion seeing how you have to fuse the keys in act 5 and you can't fight baal until the expansion. I've have the keysets plenty of times and traded them for hrs

Btw I leveled my assassin and druid to 85 and started a sorc (level 53.) I also just realized that 4 really good runewords (spirit, infinity, insight, fortitude) only work in ladder and since it threw me into nonladder since the ladder reset, I'm stuck with that. Thank god it let me keep my spirit shields I had though!

Spirit is for swords and shields, mainly used with monarch shields. It gives 2 skills and faster cast rate (25-35.) I use this one a lot.

Insight is for polearms and is usually used for mercs. The main thing it does is give a meditation aura that replenishes your mana fast so you basically have unlimited mana as long as your merc stays alive.

Fortitude is a choice armor runeword for mercs. It gives extra damage, high defense, resists, and a life.

Infinity is another for polearm mercs. It gives a level 12 conviction aura (lowers resists -85% and defense -83%) and it also lowers the lightning resist of enemies by 45-55%. It's ideal for lightning sorcs, javazons, and trap assassins to handle the lightning immunes in hell.

Are we talking about for single player or multiplayer? If you're trying to level up in single player there is a trick. If you press enter and type in "/players 8" the game will act as if you are in an eight player game. This means the monsters will be tougher and they will give more experience. It'll work 1-8. 1 being a normal one player game and 8 being the most difficult.
