Do you like to read? If so, what are your favourite books?
I read just about anything I can get my hands on! Some of my favourites are (in no particular order) :
Terry Brooks, All (but the older ones are better); Phillip Pullman, His Dark Materials; Charles Dickens, All; Ursula LeGuin, The Earthsea Trilogy; Julian May, Saga of the Exiles; Arthur Ransome, Swallows & Amazons (all)...

I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to.I guess.
Currently reading The Book of Amber, for the 7th time or so. (Fantastic tome!!111) Like His Dark Material, Asimov is good for a turn or two, fanfiction, The Foundation series, HHGTTG, Salvatore, Ed Green for Forgotten Realms, Margret Weis and that other author for the Dragonlance series, Ron Hubbard, Carl Sagan's Contact, and that's all I can see from sitting at my desk here.

I read a lot, but not really enough to call myself a "book worm". Mostly books with factual knowledge these days, I try to focus on more interesting titles on the fiction front rather than reading all the heaps of garbage that's out there.

I really liked Tolkien's "The hobbit", the story was more intense than LOTR and I liked the style it was written in more, better ambience and all that.

Some of Robin Hobb's books were pretty good too, though I don't remember any particular titles. Sharp could propably shed more light on that.

I just wondered what kind of things people like to read, you don't have to be some really intense bookworm to post here!
I read the hobbit ages ago and don't really remember it too well, but LOTR I really enjoyed.
I like Terry Pratchett as well but haven't read very many.

Oh hey.
Well I'm currently reading the Redwall series for the second time. Let's see, I've read: Harry Potter, LOTR, etc. There's quite a few books I've read, you see.

I didn't like how Tolkin put so many songs into his books. I felt guilty skimming them, but I couldn't stand to read them.

Hobb wrote the Farseer trilogy, the Liveship Traders trilogy and the Tawny Man trilogy... I did like her style as a fantasy author, I just didn't remember I'd been shouting around my appreciation for her that much

I like LeGuin's works too, and now that I have been reading so much less ('cause I actually have been concentrating on school), I've read some of Leon Trotsky's books + biographies. I've been trying to sway away from fantasy for a while. Finns might want to read some of Kari Enqvist's or Mikael Niemi's (Swedes, too) works, they're rather funny, I keep laughing out loud.

Edit: wow, lots of people have read and liked The Earthsea books.. this is kind of off topic, but I'll risk it - I know some kind of a tv movie made of Ged's adventures came out rather recently, did anyone see it and was it really super hyper awful?

I think it was simpy called Earthsea, it aired on Scifi Channel and was a big disappointment to LeGuin.

I noticed the DVD on Amazon some time ago and the reviews were (and still are) pretty terrible. Have a look at the synopsis as well! "Based on the books". What, the names?

Love! True love!
I like just about anything fantasy (Harry Potter being one of my favorites) or mystery. I read comic books, too. I haven't been doing as much reading, though, as I have been writing. I just recently finished a book that I am going to try and get published. I'm keeping info about it classified, though. I like to build suspense.
P.S
I know i'm a few months late on this.
