Situation: I have a DMOD in work and I want to change the name of the folder. I am using WinDinkEdit.

If I change the folder name with Windows Explorer, the graphics will not all load in the editor.

If I make a folder with the new name and move everything from the original to the new, the graphics will not all load in the editor.

I have searched the text files for anything resembling a path, and used a HEX editor to searh the Dink.dat, Hard.dat and Map.dat. I can't find a path.

So my question is, is there some secret safeguard to dissuade wolesale theft embedded in one of the files?

I plead for information that can shed any light on this.

I'd double check to see if you loaded your graphics right. You are talking about added graphics right?

I should also ask if you going to "open" to access your DMOD. If you change the folder, you'll have to re-open the DMOD. If you are trying to open it using the history of DMODs opened, it'll result in going to the directory that doesn't exist anymore. I think.

You hit the nail on the head. It was a memory thing in the Dink engine. All straight now.

Many thanks.
