Since it seems to be such a hot topic here at the dink network as of recently lets get a phatty message board thread going on mary jane. I for one am an avivd smoker of Cannibus and fully support its legalization. Is anyone else in the DN a stoner like me? or are there some snoody biatches who think Weed is bad for you because Officer richard told you so when you were in D.A.R.E.

Weed is illegal for a reason. Yes, I used to smoke pot so I do have room to talk. Here's a true story for you. A friend of mine decided to get high (he smokes alot), and he got behind the wheel of a car (and don't say people don't do it) making a long story short, that b*****d wrecked it and almost killed a 50 year old woman. Here's another one for you. Some dang teenager was driving under the influence of the crap and hit 4 kids cleaning up trash on the highway (they were doing community service) all 4 were killed instantly, however, she lived. Imagine if all that can happen when it's illegal, what is going to happen when it's legal? It's worse than booze.

I'm a constant stoner but seldom get behind the wheel while high. I agree wholeheartly with WC about driving though. Whether alchol or drugs don't drive. There are plenty of people in prison who didn't belive it would ever happen to them.

I'm an avid abuser of the fine stuff, and I certainly would say it's much better thatn booze! It's stupid to get behind the wheel stoned, just as it is drunk, though it's safer stoned...

And dope doesn't make you violent, like booze can. Nobody who's high is gonna start a fight, because they just wanna chill, wheras someone drunk as a skunk has no objections to giving someone a good right hook.

Besides, alcohol doesn't give you the munchies...

Anyway, I read somewhere that a study showed that people who were high were better drivers than sober people; they drove slower, were friendlier on the road.. But I'm not saying that's true, you believe what you want to believe. I drive high sometimes, only when I have to but I know when to watch out. After a joint or three your driving abilities seriourly decrease though

Drunk driving is worse, cause you overestimate your driving skills (like my friend, who could do a cool trick with car, he found out the car started slipping when he took a sharp corner at 100km/h (65mph you americans!) - then he (kinda drunk) wanted to show it to a friend, lost control, tire popped, went on his side, they fine though, car dead. You are possibly right. Some idiot blasted by me at 80MPH today in a 45MPH zone and I have the balls to run his ass off the road for it. But still, if I was high, I would have wrecked the car. Also, did you know that the effects of drugs can be felt for upto 3 weeks after the last dose? So, you could be sober, but your judgement could very well be still impaired.

Marijuana can be good, but it can be bad good. You can get addicted and stuff and some people really pay a lot of money to sustain their habit. I had a friend was paying 150$ a week for weedsupply.. but he smoked a lot

But it should still be legal everywhere, it's just as dangerous as alcohol or cigarettes.

i dont do drugs, but its not cause some ass told me not to, its cause i can think, and WANT TO THINK for myself. youre not the same person when youre on drugs. i dont think ANYTHING should be illegal, but if you interfere with other people's freedom (drugs do this in MANY ways) then you deserve to die. strait up. if you are so set on destroying yourself and others, then i will be happy to speed up the process. i just want to be nice. SERIOUSLY... if you can not handle drugs then dont do them. shoot yourself or DONT START.

Perhaps. I simply find it strange that sometimes those who are pro-legalisation argue that cannabis "Isn't AS bad as alcohol!", before going on, in the same argument, to relate horror stories/gruesome statistics about how BAD alcohol actually is. I really don't feel that this conveys a positive impression

I know that what wc is ture i have felt the weed stick with me for at least a week it takes a long time to get it out of you

a friend of mine has actually ruined his life on pot. i mean, he now has no family, no friends, (well, nearly no friends), no money, no house, no where to sleep.

because of this, i actually feel sick whenever i see someone smoking pot, even though i nener have. i agree with WC 110%, pot smokers aren't allowed in my house... now vodka, thats another matter entirely...

i just think drugs suck. im not putting stoners down, they do it on their own. i know well enough that justice does not exist and that everyone is screwed over to the fullest extent anyway. i just think that its not how i want to be or what i think is a good escape. i dont feel drugs help anybody. i think drugs hurt everybody. i dont see how you can not care about social class yet contribute to the screwed up tradition of getting blasted out of your brains and acting like an ass. it would be real easy to just get drunk and not care about anything. a nice way to shake the pain. "I DONT CARE ABOUT TOMORROW." well you care too much about feeling good today. when you die, i wont care. your just another dead kid. dead kids arent a good time. id rather have my pain and live as a human. at least its one thing i can choose on my own. well thats what i think.
