Should this be put in the neglected category? It's not finished, and is nowhere near it, but was released so that somebody may finish it. Sounds pretty neglected to me...

Yeah, most of the unfinished D-Mods should go into Neglected.

Ok, cheers. It's not the most important thing in the world, but it does make sense.

NO! If somebody wants to finish the unfinished dmod, how could he/she get it if you put the unfinished ones in the neglected catagory where you cannot download anything!

Neglected and not being able to download a file are different, though for right now all files in the Neglected category are non-downloadable. Downloadable files can go into the Neglected category with no problems.

If I have a d-mod, partly made, that I know I'll never finish, but want others to see, and hopefully somebody else finish it. Can I send that to a member of staff to go straight into the Neglected section?

I think that's a very bad idea actually. Unless you're planning on never making another d-mod, than it's acceptable. The reason? A lot of complex thoughts in my mind... Let's try and simplify. If this is allowed, I predict we'll see a lot of unfinished d-mods and less finished ones. Why? It's simple really. If you get tired of working on one project and you would really like to do something with that other idea you have in mind, you may be tempted to throw it into the neglected section and start on your other idea. And Sabre, no offense, but you and your many ideas (Mind you, I'm not saying you'd do such a thing, but others might)

Sometimes your logic (or lack thereof) simple astounds me . The Dink Network has always accepted unfinished D-Mods. Always.

Hmm... so I guess your logic is sound (it does make sense), but the situation you describe has never happened over the past 4 years. The only difference the Neglected Category makes is it basically allows you to release a file without worrying about points... and points have been around for less than a year.

You say that it is more tempting to just throw a D-Mod into the Neglected Category and stop worrying about it... and yet, there are untold D-Mods that were simply thrown away and never released, while the author went on to do other projects. So you prefer to not play unfinished D-Mods, and allow them to be lost forever?

Kyle, I'm not going to do what you said, because that would be just plain stupid!

If I have a d-mod that I have started, but have no intention of EVER finishing, I will submit it, otherwise, I'll try and release a proper game.

Shucks, I was curious to see what had been done with it the playable screens for it.
