Im thinking of making my own d-mod soon myself...

Anyone have any idea's of a d-mod that would be good for a beginner? I know a few good ones but they would be too complicated for me. 
But, I still dont want to make a #%@$ing fabulous d-mod like some people make, and don't spend any time on it (no offence to those people)
So does anyone have any good ideas?

Well, spend as much time on it as possible, and don't.. for gods sake.. become a point whore..
Too many has fallen for that already..

Unlike Eldron, who has released many great d-mods!
But HeatOmen, if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask on the board (for general answers) or e-mail me and I'll give you an in-depth answer. I also have a few idea's you might want to try, seeing as I will never do them!
Do you want to use Dink? Or would an Alternative Hero be to your liking?

Well, all I can say is don't start something too big at first. If you start a huge epic d-mod rirst away, chances are it will either never be finished, take as long as a year to complete or not be very good. Pick something with a more defined scope.

Well, I've been thinking of using the dink icon...oh, and rusted sorrow scripting is my least favirote part of making games. lol
I've done some work with open zelda, the level editor which required some script work,
and i only completed a small game which sucked
so i got rid of it lol.
(it was sort of a test anyway)
maybe i should experiment wit' dink for a couple of weeks first.

How about we have a 3 man d-mod??? After all, as far as I know, you are both relatively new to D-mods, and I have been around a while. (For an example : Try Cloud Castle, or as a much worse example : A Knights Tale. I'm famous for advertising my d-mods in this fashion!! )
