Sony Vegas Problems
Just letting everyone know that the reason I haven't made another LP part yet is because I am having problems with the editing software I am using (Sony Vegas). It was working fine one minute, then it started stuffing up. The problem is, I open it, then it loads everything and then automatically closes itself.... tried reinstalling it and everything and it's just being a b*tch. Anyway, I'll mess around with it and I'll make the next part of my LP when it stops sucking the virtual balls of a sideways-ducked-mutant-camel.
Well it probably closed beacuse it ate too much memory.
Which version are ya using? Not that I can help. but I reckon posting the specs here might get somebody with knowledge about SV to help.
I use Adobe Premiere and there's an option called 'Purge'. It cleans up the RAM which probably is eaten up by the process.
Sony Vegas 7
It was working before, and I don't think it's anything to do with low memory.
Anyway, my computer has the requirements to run it. I have a 3.4ghz dual core processor, 2gb of ram and an Nvidia Geforce 7600 with 512MB graphics card.
I have no idea why it's doing this.
EDIT: And screw it, I'm gonna format this useless piece of crap and reinstall everything. My computer's being a b*itch. If it still doesn't work then I'll have to go with option B - Throw it straight out the window.

Throw what out the window, exactly?

My computer.
My computer.
Are you sure you aren't having a trial version of it? Stupid guestion, I know, but better to make sure of everything.

I don't understand why the program just doesn't do this by itself?

Nope, it's not a trial.
I formatted my comp last night lol. It's working again now... I have no idea what the hell was happening with it.
I'll make the next part as soon as I install everything else again.
Was 'bout time I formatted my comp anyway, it's been playing up for a while.

When you load stuff into the memory for later use, or render, the memory gets used. Purge it or exit the program to clean it up. Don't know much about it but I purge when I notice that the comp is getting a little slow while working in Premiere.

Maybe we need a wide-topic Tech Support thread
@ Quiztis: Ha! Good ol' Warcraft
@Quiztis:
I already understood this. However, software should NEVER have to make the user free up some RAM. Well-behaving software does this by itself, and most software actually DOES do this. So it's plain bad coding that the option is even there in the first place.
