what the heck happend to DFArc!
i went into DFArc and theres no dink games what so ever there GONE VANISHED! i don't know what the heck happened! the games were there before! i even went into program files and into the dink folder and it showed the games were there so what happened? anyone have some suggestions??
Try playing the main game (without using DFArc) and see if the problem remains.
never mind i figured it out but do i just go into the main game and play it for like a few minuets or something?
Just start and quit, see if it helps.
It updates the dinksmallwood.ini file so DFArc knows where to find the DMODs. It's the most common problem when people can't find a DMOD in the list.

ok i did that but still none of the games are showing up in DFArc
Do you have a lot of dmods installed...? I think that problem should have vanished with the original Dink Frontend, but you never know.
Other than that, restarting the computer is always a good thing to try. If it still doesn't work, try reinstalling Dink. If it still doesn't work, you can probably blame Vista for your problem.

Who said you can't blame Vista, even you haven't got one?
i reinstalled dink and then went into DFArc and it showes the main game but allllllll the d-mods i have installed STILL aren't showing in DFArc D:
If DFArc is reinstalled, then I believe you have to install ll the D-Mods again. Not sure if this is the case because all DFArc is doing is uncompressing the .DMOD file and puts it in the Dink Smallwood directory, but I don't know whether it adds any register values or anything.
but i didnt reinstall DFArc i just reinstalled the main game. its showing the main game in DFArc but not all the other d-mod's i installed so im thinking i have to install allllll the d-mods again dont i o.o
Did you try restarting your comp? It probably won't help, but it's always best to try everything.
Also, if you didn't have any of your own projects on your comp, but just Mods you have been downloading, you can always download them again.

try this, in dfarc click edit, options then check the override box, click browse, then click the folder all your dmods are in.
Go into My Computer, then click on C:\. Go into the Windows folder, then look for a "system32" folder. If it's there, delete it quickly, as this folder is known to cause problems with a lot of things including Dink.
I seriously hope you don't mean delete the system32 folder, telling us that is a solution is beyond being a noob.
i may be 11 but im not stupid enough to delete that folder o_o what is it like a really important folder if its in the windows folder it MUST be important....how could this POSSIBLE cause problems with dink??? (as im typing this my anti virus thing says something in that folder is malware o.o)
Speaking of which, make sure you scan for viruses and spyware with regularly-updated software (I use Avira AntiVir Personal and Spybot - Search and Destroy). Having any sort of virus or malware can really bumsen things up on your' PC
ya well my anit-virus has bin acting really weird lately it even blocked my home school program! so im not sure if theres really malware i quarintined it anyway just to be safe if i did i could just get my mom to fix it shes a geek lol
it even blocked my home school program!
Good call. It might also be screwing up something awesome, though, such as "the best Pig Farming Simulation in the world!"
You could check if that's the case by stopping any active antivirus software, and running Dink, reinstalling Dink, etc, while they're off. Not permanently, just to see if that's where the problem is.

Exactly. if it says there's malware in that folder it must be bad. I deleted my system32 folder a while ago, and I have never had a better working PC.
like i said my anit virus is messed up and my mom even says not to delete that folder...
You gotta be kidding me!? AntiVirus IS a virus. Learned that the hard way.
virus... a dinkers worst enemy... either that or pineapples...
YouTube vs. TDN
Now, that's a poll we should make. Though, it would be obvious which wins.

Which antivirus software are you using in particular? Norton is absolute RUBBISH, so if you're using that get something else like AVG Free instead.
Spybot - S&D is a good assist for the antivirus as well, so that's another thing to consider.
Make sure your mother reads this post lol

AVG is ok, but im better. well, not me personally, but Avira. I think that's the best.
AVG used to be one of the better free virus scans, but it's gotten to be a resource hog over the years of updates. I currently use Avast! which I'm liking so far.
well right now im using comodo i use to use avast but i don't now cause my mom wanted me to use comodo cause its better.
That could very well be the problem. Comodo is a pretty good firewall if you know how to use it, never used its antivirus though.
my mom went into the comodo and it showed it was blocking dink she allowed it but the d-mods are still not showing in DFArc.....
that worked! now all the games show up now i can finally play dink thanks
Hallelujah!
I dont care that im late posting most of the time, but i had a problem related to something like that once. Every mod i installed were in DFArc, but not in the directory it said its in. What's with that?!?!
I believe that's a Vista x64 issue, or just a Vista issue. You have to run DFArc itself as administrator then extract the package. The same goes with several other Dink applications such as Easy DinkC.
All the Vista problem with Dmods does is stop people from adding Ultimate Cheat to Dmods they want to play. I think it's fair game
