This is an excellent example of what a good development file should be. It contains a DMOD example. It contains clear concise instructions of the use and how to modify the scripts, all in html format.

The actually darkness effect was pretty good, although I think the position of objects with shadows will have to be checked for all screens. The coming of night and coming of morning may not appeal to some (descends from above, then ascends to above respectively) but the potential DMOD author can change that at their descretion.

But when you add more than one screen and have Dink travel between screens things start going wrong. In the end it seemed I had a number of instances of the script going so the screen was permanently black, and Dink was saying it's day, it's night, all the time. The author mentions that this might occur if you enter and leave screens quickly.

Also the night effect can come into play inside rooms. Which would happen if there was no light on, or a fire - but this whole aspect of day night needs addressing, and this development file doesn't cover this area.

Overall 7.5 out of 10.
