a very strange dmod indeed...

strengths:
He had some great graphics in the game, i think the terrorists were just kinda humorous. Usama bin laden was a photo, which was pretty nice and original. A lot of the talking was actually paul's and maybe somebody else's voice, which i dont think i have ever seen before in a dmod =). The map was a gps palm pilot thingy mobbober, which looked very nice. Paul even had the sounds of the guns shooting, and their empty barrels clicking.

weaknesses:
There were only a few weaknesses...
When you get the flag, it just says "I have the enemy flag!", but the flag remains in the same spot. The map was a desert, which fit pretty well with the terrorists, but it was just so empty. When i ran out of bullets at the end guy, i couldnt hurt him because i was teleported to a screen which was a mirror of the screen i was just on, so i couldnt go and buy any ammo, and there wasnt even a knife to slash him up, so i just had to quit right there.

overall:
It was a pretty good game most of the time, except for the stock of weaponry. I honestly think everybody should take a little bit of time out of their day to play this nice little dmod.

Good job, good have expaned a little more

You play a commando who has to complete a mission.

Storyline: Quite small, but perfectly al right for this D-mod. You get one assignment: capture the enemy flag.

Map and graphics: The map suits the game. New graphics are the commando, the terrorists, the status bars, the inventory and the item icons. The human sprites are not very good; they are hand drawn and do not walk, but glide. The commando is wearing a gas mask, and that made me wonder why, since there is no gas attack.

Music: There were two midi’s in the game, both of them fair. There are lots of sound effects. And there is some speech that sounds good.

Good: Shooting with a gun is a nice change to the boomerang and throwing axe. You have ammunition so you have to be careful while shooting otherwise you will run out of it. You can buy new ammunition by killing terrorists or pillbugs. There is a GPS, which you can use to check your position. This is a really good graphic. The inventory, status bars and item icons are very good and realistic. You can choose between two weapons. The sound effects are very good.

Not so good: The options ‘I’m a noob, help me' and ‘Options’ on the title screen were not available. The enemies are too easy since you can dodge their fire – which is not even aimed at you. Indeed, the pillbugs are tougher enemies then the terrorists. The gameplay is far too easy and therefore is over before you know it.

Overall: A very entertaining, but much too short D-mod with good new graphics.

Fit for: If you are tired of fighting with a sword or a throwing axe, this D-mod will provide a very nice change.

CounterStrike is an alternate hero type game that takes advantage of the dink engine and Redink's enemy shoot. It would seem you play a commando, and your mission is to simply capture the enemy flag...not that difficult, but with some twists. Your weapons are a pistol and an assault rifle (i think, they are deffinately guns of some sort). For the map, the author used some spiffy new gfx that look like a Palm V with a GPS, very cool looking.

Also differnt are the status bars on the bottom, new fonts, colors, and added meters to show amount of ammo left. One of the twists is you must buy ammo for your weapons, which means you must kill enough bad guys to collect gold. It takes quite a few shots to down these guys, but their shots are really not well aimed, and their chances of killing you are next to nothing. There are also a few pillbugs, they are a little harder to kill with a gun, and they attack better than the terrorists do.

Also in the graphics department, the main character and his enemies are new. They are pretty good, yet cartoonish and seem to glide on the screen and do not walk. The boss is well done, but again, he seems to float. The menu is very different, but I thought it was poorly done..but who the hell plays these games for the menus, right?

I think there was only one track, it fit the theme well, and since it is a short dmod, more was not needed.

I'm afraid that some reviewers may grade this poorly based on both the size of the dmod, and the less than terrific graphics, but I think it contained some great ideas, some new enemies with a new way to kill them, and an obvious effort.

As another reviewer noted, this would make a great dmod if the mission and map were larger. I played it through twice, so there is a bit of a replayability factor, and it is well worth the download.

The graphics are made with paint and look terrible, the "voice acting" screeches your ears and the game isn't very funny as a parody. You start out in the desert with two different guns that don't feel like guns, and must capture the flag from terrorists. It's fast, simple, and boring. Someone who's played Counter-Strike may want to try this out of curiosity, but it's not worth it.

Counter-terrorist win!

I like this D-Mod a little bit, but not much. The best thing this D-Mod has is the voice acting, it was funny and dumb . graphics wasen't best made, but it was nicely done. (like terrorists sprites ) Plot/story where a little bit short, but it was good. sounds/midis where good too. boss midi was
funny. Overall = 4.5

well, well, well...

this game is cool, but badly made though...

The Good: well, the whole idea is good, and the guns is good (it's a good
change for the swords!!) and all the graphics are, hmmm... ....bad,
but funky!!

The Bad: well, as i said, The graphics, they are bad...
and the enemies are just too easy to kill, as they never shoot, they just "slide" around and, well, again, never shoot...
the end boss is funny, but too easy...

overall, a thing to play if you have nothing to do...

The world could always use more heroes
One of the worse D-Mods I've seen. The coolest thing is killing Osama Bin Laden. You get to use guns in this one which is a +. The main objective is to capture the enemy flag. It has bad graphics that were probably done in a matter of hours with a little bit of hard work involved in it. There is absolutly no storyline which makes it boring. The map has almost no detail besides the 2-D war guys. There isn't even a plot, just an objective.

Storyline 0.0
Map 2.0
Graphics 2.0
Music 0.0
Plot 0.0

This is not recommended to anyone except people who want Osama Bin Laden dead 'cause this is a start.

Oh well...

10 for effort
10 for original conversation (including the audible part of it)
8 for the GPS graphic - nicely done and useful
well maybe a 3 for the people graphics, as mentioned good effort, but the miss something... you'll know what I mean
1 for storyline (hardly any - capture the flag - wasn't that some other game ?)
1 for gameplay - just look at the gps to find the find, dodge all enemies and then empty your ammo on the end boss

Just to beat the end boss, it's worth the 2 minutes diversion it'll give.

I laughed while playing this. It was fun. Okay the graphics are pretty basic, but even so I found the execution of a gun shooting DMOD fun. Plus people spoke… even better and to top it off I got to fight Osama – hoot!

It is small (as the name says Demo) and I wanted more… bombs, stealth missions, arrr to think what could’ve been. Anyway for what it is I say download it and have some fun for 5 minutes.

Destroying noobs since 1999.
Finally, a counter-strike d-mod. The possibly best game ever is now a d-mod, equiped with new graphics and sounds it has great potential. The game play is pretty good, but the story line is weak, all you do is work you way to the flag (way too easy) and then go back ot the start point for the end. I think Paco needs to make it so you have to kill people, if you don't kill the enemy (to level up) you will fail the end boss because you will have no bullets and no armor. Overall a nice start, but it needs to be built on.

A Strange and funny Demo Dmod whit Conuter-Strike based weapons and enemys.
The sounds are great but no music (well I din't get any!) and the story is very poor and so is the gameplay but whit some changes here and there it could be Improved greatly!
The end boss is funny and thats why i recommend this Demo Dmod for all!

CounterStrike is a fun little weird Dmod. The voice dialog is a nice touch, even if it is a bit cheesy. The new character animations are cartoony but very nice. Only complaint about them is that they don't really appear to be walking. Its very short, and the amount of bullets it takes to kill most enemies isn't worth the price of amunition. The concept of a fonna fighting Dmod is a intresting one though, I can see this being expanded into a bigger mission based game of some kind.
